Wedding in France at a private Beaujolais estate
From April to October, Domaine de Vavril hosts one wedding at a time: the whole estate is yours for three nights and four days, with a stone reception room for up to 150 guests and accommodation for 41. Turnkey weddings start from €17,700 incl. VAT, accommodation extra, with cocktail and dinner for 70 guests, a DJ and a photographer. Over four days, a wedding takes its time. You arrive with your closest guests and have the Maison de Maître and its gardens to yourselves before the celebrations begin. On the day, the ceremony can take place in the gardens facing the vines, the drinks reception moves up to the terrace under the lime trees, then dinner and dancing follow in the stone hall. The next day there is no hotel to check out of: the pool and the people closest to you are still there.

The main hall
Dressed-stone walls and a timber roof frame: the hall seats up to 150 guests for dinner, or 120 with a dance floor, in which case dinner and dancing share the same room. Caterer’s kitchen, cloakroom, access for guests with reduced mobility, guest parking.

The wine press room
A stone room where an authentic wine press serves as the bar, and a dry fallback for the drinks reception if the weather turns. Since 2025 it opens onto a bright lounge of about 30 m² and a two-level garden of about 100 m² facing the sunset, and it leads straight into the vaulted cellar next door.

About 44 m² under the vault, opening off the wine press room: a cosy spot for pre-dinner drinks or a late bar once dinner is over.
Terraces and gardens
South-facing, with panoramic views over the vineyards and the Beaujolais hills, the gardens are where your ceremony can take place, with the vines as a backdrop. The upper terrace, shaded by lime trees, suits the drinks reception, and the heated, secure pool and its pool house are there for the days around the wedding.
Lodgings
The 18th-century Maison de Maître and its outbuildings sleep 41 in total. Your families and closest friends wake up on site, no one staying here has to drive after the party, and the days before and after the wedding are spent together rather than shuttling between hotels.
The Master’s Residence
This 18th-century house combines refinement, charm and comfort.
