They got married at Domaine de Vavril: a testimonial!

Clara & Quentin chose to unite at the Domaine on April 21… They tell us all about this wonderful weekend!
What do you see as the Domaine de Vavril’s main assets?
“The Domaine’s main assets are undoubtedly the setting, the magnificent views and the very fine restoration of the entire estate. All the outdoor areas and buildings have been restored with respect for their architecture and history, and with great taste. The fact that the Domaine is also a 5 épis gîte is another real asset. The possibility of renting the Domaine from Friday to Monday and staying there with friends and family was one of the reasons for our choice. What’s more, the house is perfectly decorated and makes you feel right at home. The presence of grape-pickers’ dormitories to accommodate those who don’t want to get back on the road after the evening is really nice. We appreciated being able to offer this to our friends.”

Were your guests as enchanted by the charm of the setting as you were?
“Our guests were all seduced by the charm of the place: by the view of course, by the different terraces assigned to different times of the day/weekend, by the swimming pool, the facade of the main building and the restoration of the room. We have had very good feedback on the Domaine, which our guests found superb.”

How was your D-Day at the Domaine?
“We arrived on Friday evening, so we were well on the way to setting up the room, with only a few decorating details left to install on Saturday morning. At the end of the morning, we welcomed the first suppliers and enjoyed the pool, as the weather was absolutely incredible. At lunchtime, we had planned a meal for everyone, and we all gathered around the big kitchen table in a very friendly, family atmosphere. We went to get ready, the rest of the suppliers arrived and the guests arrived at 4pm. We had planned a lemonade under the trees to welcome them. At 4:30 p.m., the secular ceremony began. A moment of intense emotion during which we cried a lot! This was followed by cocktails and dinner. The entrance to the room improvised a few hours earlier with Vincent, our DJ, was brilliant. On Sunday, we organized a lunch. Juliette (Gaufronomik) arrived and set up with her team on the terrace in front of the house. Thanks to the beautiful weather, we were able to set up most of the tables outside and enjoy a number of outdoor games (table tennis, table soccer, pétanque, Breton shuffleboard…). The guests really appreciated it, and we all enjoyed the relaxed, family atmosphere.”
Do you have an anecdote or an unexpected moment to tell us about?
“At 2.50pm, when Marie, our photographer, has just said that she thought we were a relaxed bride and groom, she and Florent (video) ask where Quentin is, as it was agreed that he would go upstairs to get ready at 3pm. Clara looks out the window and sees him playing in the pool with his nieces and nephews. We were indeed incredibly relaxed because we were happy to be there, surrounded by our loved ones and filled with love and kindness. By 3 p.m. he was well up and getting ready!”
Any special message for the Domaine?
“Keep up the good work! Thank you to Adeline for her kindness and availability in the run-up to the big day, as well as for the pre-departure interview, and to Mr BRAGUE on site for his help, kindness and directions. Please continue to maintain the high standard of the Domaine, where you feel at home.
