Sarmentelles at the Domaine
Les Sarmentelles Hold Their Show
Last day this Sunday for the Beaujolais wine show
The Sarmentelles wine show will close its doors this Sunday evening, thus bringing to an end the festivities linked to the release of the primeur that have been animating Beaujeu since Wednesday. Twenty-eight wine-growing exhibitors are offering their Beaujolais, new or vintage, to visitors under the heated marquee. Nine artisans are also offering tastings of their local products.
This show allows visitors to discover vintage Beaujolais and Beaujolais-Villages, as well as the crus, to a clientele that has come in large numbers to the region for the release of the primeur. The organizers’ goal is to take advantage of the Beaujolais Nouveau effect to highlight the other wines of the region.
Beaujolais lunch at noon, play structures for children, helicopter baptism flights – there’s something for everyone. And it works! Friday evening, the spit-roasted beef brought together three hundred and fifty people under the marquee. End of festivities tonight.
Domaine de Vavril is proud to offer tastings of its primeur distinguished by a grand gold medal at the Lyon Beaujolais Nouveau competition.
